Teranishi is the exploration in product design, production, and craft by Teppei Teranishi, expressed primarily through handcrafted leather goods. Products are designed in-house and crafted in traditional methods, making each and every piece a labor of love and an exercise in craftsmanship. Our studio is located in Vashon Island, WA (right across the Puget Sound from Seattle) where we find daily inspiration through living a life slightly off the beaten path.

We believe in well-balanced design and our products are carefully designed to achieve a balance series of juxtapositions—classic/progressive, simple/functional, elegant/hardy.  We believe in subtlety and detail, and that there is statement in understatement.

We have an obsession with execution and craftsmanship.  We aim for perfection, all the while knowing that perfection actually lies in our inevitably imperfect human nature.  Therein lies the beauty of goods made by honed and specialized human hands.
